Operation Enduring Education (OEE)
Operation Enduring Education is a highly selective incubator program that seeks out veterans who have displayed elevated levels of leadership and initiative that will better position them to excel in school and become successful businessmen and strong leaders in the community.
The purpose of this program is to help cover the living expenses of veterans in their last year as an undergraduate, and provide them with the necessary mentoring related to their specific field of study as they pursue their master's degrees. While in the program, the veterans will work closely with HCC or other associated companies/organizations, with their primary focus on studies at school and on-the-job training, while also maintaining physical fitness and making consistent contributions to community service.
Veterans will volunteer their time, work, and expertise to not only an established network of other nonprofits and community organizations, but they also have the choice to volunteer for other organizations who may need their help. HCC encourages veterans to work for causes that they are passionate about. Past community events have included free fitness boot camps, volunteering at the Stewpot soup kitchen, and hosting charity events for Goodwill and other nonprofit organizations.
Upon the completion of program, veterans will have launched their businesses, commit to mentoring future participants, and provide employment for other qualified veterans. By creating more veteran leaders in U.S. communities, a strong work ethic and sense of discipline is instilled within the community. Veteran entrepreneurs who create jobs will naturally hire more veterans, which will lower the unemployment rate, boost the economy, and raise GDP through small business growth.
