History
Honor Courage Commitment, Inc. is a veteran run nonprofit organization dedicated to creating elite veteran entrepreneurs.
HCC's Founder, Andrew Nguyen, is a 1st generation American whose family is originally from Vietnam. His parents immigrated to America in 1975 after the Vietnam War. Andrew has experienced first-hand that America is truly the “land of opportunity”, and he takes nothing for granted. He has taken full advantage of the opportunities that America has given him to honorably serve his country, obtain a higher education, and start a business.
After his transition off active duty in the Marine Corps in 2006, Nguyen earned degrees and completed elite programs from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Southern Methodist University, and University of North Texas. In 2008, Andrew launched WSI Search – a digital marketing and web development firm. Having achieved success even through a down economy, he recognized a direct correlation between military leadership and entrepreneurship. For him, the Marine Corps' core values – Honor, Courage, and Commitment – have transcended beyond the military. These core values that are ingrained in him and all veterans apply not only on the battlefield, but in entrepreneurship as well.
Nguyen's commitment to America doesn't end with his service in the military. America is fighting a domestic war called "unemployment", and HCC's mission is to combat that war by creating veteran entrepreneurs who, through the growth of small businesses, will create more job opportunities. More veteran entrepreneurs = more veteran friendly jobs = less veterans filing for unemployment benefits = less wasted tax dollars for America.
Andrew Nguyen is a veteran entrepreneur who's committed to a life of education and passing on the knowledge to fellow veterans. He's created an enthusiastically shared vision amongst HCC's organization and the motivated veterans who run it. By taking care of veterans, HCC in turn takes care of their families, and ultimately, the whole economy.

Our Mission
HCC's mission is to recruit, educate, mentor, and guide transitioning military veterans into becoming socially responsible entrepreneurs and community leaders.
Programs
In 2011, HCC created Operation Enduring Education (OEE), which is a business incubator program designed for veterans seeking full degrees from accredited colleges. While in the program, the veteran students will attend school, volunteer to community services, and receive training from HCC’s staff and network of industry experts. This program is partnered with local universities, schools, businesses, and other nonprofit organizations, all of which share HCC's passion of training aspiring veteran entrepreneurs.
The "Starting A Business" Boot Camp (SABBC) is an intensive 8-week program where veteran students will receive training in focus areas of entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and leadership. In addition, they will be held to high standards of fitness, presentation, accountability, and integrity. During the program, the veterans will build business plans which they will present in HCC’s Business Plan Competition.
Through HCC's screening process, it's natural that HCC comes across many veterans who are simply looking for employment opportunities. With Operation Job Placement (OJP), HCC helps those veterans in their job hunting process, using the resources made available through the organization and its partners.
HCC continues to expand its network by seeking out more individuals or organizations in various fields of work who are willing act as mentors or provide employment for HCC's veterans. HCC will ensure that each veteran in its programs is given the proper training and guidance to help them achieve their educational, career, or business-related goals.
